Toddlers & preschool
Local TC moms' top pick for toddler slides — well-shaded play structures, lots of bucket seats, and a fenced perimeter that's a sanity-saver with multiple little ones. Pairs well with a coffee from Espresso Bay.
All ages — toddler + walking-age
Two separate playgrounds (toddler-only side and big-kid side), plus a paved loop that's perfect for stroller walks. Restrooms are open during park hours. Splash pad in summer.
Ages 4+
The 'rainy-day-then-sunshine' pick — large play structure with multiple slides, swings, and a beach you can walk to once the kids are warmed up. Free parking.
Ages 4+ and viewing
The views. Bring snacks and stay for the sunset. Climbing structures suited for confident walkers and up. Steep paths in places — not the easiest stroller terrain.
Toddlers & preschool
Downtown's central park — fountain, open grass, smaller play area. Often hosts community events (it's a Cherry Festival hub). Walkable to restaurants and downtown.
All ages
Right on Grand Traverse Bay — beach access, large play structure, marina views. The summer Festival of Boats happens here. Bring water shoes for younger kids who want to wade.
